Our Mission

SavvyWise is on a mission to reduce the compliance burden at scale by empowering accountants with efficiency gains.

With a core focus on Australian tax research, plus the addition of other compliances (e.g. State Taxes & Duties, Fair Work, Auditing Standards), SavvyWise assists accountants when conducting research tasks, providing the right information to accountants within moments.

Our Founders

Drew Pflaum, CPA

Drew is a Perth-based CPA qualified accountant who, before co-founding SavvyWise, held a Public Practice Certificate whilst working at Munro’s, a top 2% ranked Australian Accounting Firm and number one in Perth.

His areas of expertise include designing and implementing strategic business advice and tailored income tax minimisation strategies for businesses and investors. He is also well-known for being a pioneer tax advisor in relation to cryptocurrency matters.

During his time at Munro’s, Drew had a special responsibility for leading Munro’s growth initiatives, which saw him manage Munro’s branding, marketing and sales. Alongside Perth digital marketing agency Living Online, Drew helped Munro’s achieve outcomes such as positioning Munro’s in the top results for ‘business accountants in Perth’ on Google.

In addition, as part of his former role at Munro’s, Drew was a proud member of Mindshop, where he was a Mindshop Accredited Advisor.

Drew is very passionate about reducing the compliance burden for businesses. He strongly believes that the best way he can improve the world is by helping businesses do what they do best, which is delivering great products and services. By reducing the compliance burden, businesses can do just that - focus more on service quality, growth and innovation.

Drew’s passion extends further through his support of the accounting profession. He knows that the accounting profession is the conduit through which businesses deal with compliance and receive business advisory support. Agastya is a skilled software engineer and co-founder of SavvyWise, where he serves as the technical architect behind the platform's AI-powered solutions.

At SavvyWise, Agastya oversees the entire technical infrastructure, ensuring the platform delivers robust, reliable, and cutting-edge AI capabilities that accountants depend on daily. With expertise in backend development, cloud infrastructure, and AI, he continues to drive innovation and technical excellence at SavvyWise.

Agastya has been known for setting and maintaining high standards professionally, which has helped him grow as both a developer and a leader. He follows a mentality of constant learning, which has helped him grow from technical artist to Python developer to Technical Leader.

Before co-founding SavvyWise, Agastya worked as a Python developer where he gained extensive experience across a variety of different projects. His responsibilities included handling AI workflow management and deployments for AI workflow containers, integrating and managing cloud services for AI operations, and developing and maintaining desktop applications, including the desktop application suite "MovieColab" at VigaET.

He also maintained build cycles for various products, ensured continuous integration of desktop products with backend systems, and designed and developed new features. This diverse technical experience, building the foundation that would later prove invaluable in creating SavvyWise's sophisticated AI platform.
